A couple of ideas for improving the site:

For each design pattern you could add a best-practice section in which tips concerning coding, mark-up, UX and links to good implementations could go.

It would be nice to include some sort of discussion for each pattern – possibly as a comment stream on each page.

Actually, the site is already a wiki – but with access rights only for me. The plan is to release the wiki features for everybody once I feel the library is well-rounded without too many loose-ends.

Comments is definitely needed to discuss patterns – but what do you mean by “comment stream”? An RSS feed for comments?

As the for best-practice sections – I think you’re on to something there as well. When I first created the site, I made two main sections: patterns and techniques. The idea was then that the techniques should be the best-practices of how to implement each pattern. What I quickly found out was however that such best-practice tutorials take a looong time to write. BUT – they will get done eventually.

This would be very userfull because I think people don’t want to come back each day to see if you added someting…
