Portfolio
Over time, I have been involved in quite a few projects. As I have moved on to pursue new ventures for reasons of personal challenge or beginnings of new epochs in life, old interests and doings slide into the background of the current field of focus. In order to remind myself of old accomplishments, I have created this page.
Projects
The following constitutes a list of a selected number of web projects I’ve either created entirely myself or been a big part of.
- UI-patterns.com (2007-?)
UI-patterns.com is a library of User Interface (UI) design patterns. At first, I had little knowledge of other UI pattern collections, why I created UI-patterns.com as a reaction to how useful programming design patterns had been to me in the past. I later found that I was not alone, but still, I believe that UI-patterns.com have a great deal to offer that other pattern collections do not. The site is build using Ruby On Rails. - Toxboe.net (1996-?)
Toxboe.net (formerly known as Toxboe Skatepark) was the first web project I endeavoured in. What first was only a hobby project over the years became a business, a video production company, and most of all one or the largest and most visited websites ever about aggressive inline skating. Toxboe.net is the oldest website about aggressive inline skating that still lives. It has served as a platform for other projects regarding inline skating and has helped to make “Anders Toxboe” a well known and respected name within the rollerblading industry. Toxboe.net is together with my love for skating to blame for my big involvement in the rollerblading scene: I’ve been organizing competitions since 2000. From 2001 and on, I was the front figure in organizing the Scandinavian Real Street tour, which included several skate contests in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, all ending with big finales in Copenhagen, Denmark each year. The website has been programmed once in Perl, once in VB script, once in PHP, and soon Ruby on Rails.

- Motigo (2007) As an Ad Pepper employee, I was a PHP developer on the Motigo web publisher platform. While I together with my co-workers did all sorts of stuff, what stands out from my time at AdPepper is the Motigo Calendar application, which I singlehandedly was responsible for.
- Be-mag.com (2005-2007) Be-mag.com is the number one leading website on aggressive inline skating. They began in 1996 with a mailing list and moved into the web in the winter of 1999. Since then, they’ve progressed into an extremely influential player in the aggressive inline skate scene. I was fortunate enough to take over from their former programmer in the fall of 2005 to the code straight and into the millinium they should have been in years before. I am extremely happy to help these guys out rocking the inline skate scene – giving my aid to the scene in one of the ways I know best. Be-mag.com is a PHP project.
- Applied Microphone Technology (2006)
During the summer of 2006, I redid the website of Applied Microphone Technology. The website relaunch included a CMS system for the backend as well. Appliedmicrophone.com was a PHP project.

- Scanbiler.dk (2006) I helped my brother out by designing a website for his internet-based car business in the winter of 2006. The website features a product database, cms system, and a blog. Programmed in PHP.
- Hammer’s webshop (2004-2005)
In 2004, Hammer’s initiated a partnership with Rambøll. The partnership was that Hammer’s should deliver commercially-rambøll-branded goods (such as clothes, pens, flashlights, etc. – with Rambøll print). In order for this to work, I developed the webshop, which would connect to the stock database and provide stock-listings for the Rambøll customer. If the stock could not fulfill an order, an advanced scheme of order-splitting would happen. The solution was later implemented for other Hammer’s customers. Programmed in PHP.

- Promoters event manager project – PEMP (2003-2004)
Promoters is a company that organizes commercial events such as sampling, bartending, and the likes for external customer. The centralized office in Copenhagen counts 8-10 employees, but external employees in Denmark currently (2007) count over 1000. Promoters use their external employee database (PEMP) to find the right people for the specific job. If blond-rollerskating-german-speaking-girls-over-60-kilos-in-copenhagen are needed for a specific job, PEMP will find just these for you. It will also keep track of your events, of your mailinglists, and newsletters. Programmed in PHP.
